The song was originally written and composed by Bobby Cash (born Balbir Singh Cash), an internationally renowned Indian country music singer and songwriter from Dehradun.

While many artists like Yogesh Masih, Pastor Samarth Shukla, and others have performed popular covers, Bobby Cash is the original voice and composer behind this anthem of faith.¹

2. Meaning of the Song

The song is a profound declaration of unwavering trust in Jesus Christ during the most turbulent times of life.

Overcoming Fear: The recurring theme is the victory over fear. Whether it is darkness, loneliness, or spiritual attacks (Shaitan ke teer), the believer remains courageous because they are not walking alone.²

The Storm and the Hand: The central metaphor is “holding the hand of Jesus” while walking on “stormy waves.” It suggests that as long as our focus and grip are on Christ, our circumstances (the waves) cannot sink us.
