(Siyyon Desh Hamara Hai Desh) – Hindi Lyrics & Chords
This powerful anthem focuses on the “Blessed Hope”—the return of Christ and the eternal home of the believer in Zion (Heaven).
Hindi Lyrics (हिंदी पाठ)
(Chorus):

Explanation & Author
Author:
This is a Traditional Hindi Gospel Song. It is one of the most famous “Pilgrim Songs” in North Indian and Pakistani Christian communities. While it has been recorded by numerous artists, including Yogesh Masih, it remains a collective treasure of the indigenous evangelical church.
Theology:
The song explores Christian Eschatology (the study of end times) and the concept of Sojourning:
- The Concept of Zion (Siyyon): Zion is used as a metaphor for the New Jerusalem or Heaven—our true citizenship.
- The Groom (Dulha): It employs the biblical imagery of Christ as the Bridegroom and the Church as the Bride, waiting for the wedding feast.
- Temporal vs. Eternal: It contrasts the temporary suffering of the world (Paradesh) with the eternal, never-ending joy of our true home (Desh).
